DESCRIPTION Beautiful shape and colored ceramic vase named "鳥の館 The Bird Pavilion". Excellent condition artist : The second-generation Fujimoto Toushin was born in 1914 and learned pottery and techniques under the guidance of the first generation. In 1936, he enlisted in the 5th Cavalry Regiment. He served in the military from 1938 to 1940 and then returned home. He won the Tohto Prize at the National Pottery Exhibition, served three times as a juror for the Contemporary Craft Exhibition, and was a council member. He also served numerous times as a juror for the Koufukai Exhibition. 1956: First selected for exhibition at the Nitten (Japan Art Exhibition) with his piece "Shirayō Yōmon Sukashibori Seiki" (White Glaze Leaf Pattern Pierced Container). 1963: Work exhibited at the Nitten purchased by the exhibition. 1967: Received a special selection award at the Nitten and the Hokuto Prize. 1968: Became an unexamined artist at the Nitten. 1964: Work exhibited at the 3rd Contemporary Craft Exhibition toured Australia and New Zealand. 1971: Work exhibited at the 4th Exhibition participated in the Berlin Festival and toured various parts of Europe. 1974: Work toured Canada and the United States. 1980: Received the Hiroshima Culture Award from the Hiroshima Culture Promotion Fund. 1981: Awarded the Sanyo Shimbun Company Prize as a cultural contributor by the Sanyo Shimbun Company. 1984: Won the Sugiuwa Hizui Prize at the 70th Koufukai Exhibition. 1985: Served as the chief judge of the Koufukai and continued in this role four times. 1987: Received the Minister of Education Award as a regional cultural contributor from the Minister of Education. 1991: Awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette. 1992: Received the China Culture Prize. 1995: Became an honorary member of Koufukai and served two terms as a director.
