Johnnie Walker Blenders' Batch Espresso Roast is the fruit of the long-term efforts of a small group of distillers led by Aimée Gibson - a recent winner of the International Spirits Challenge 2017 Rising Star Award. It was composed of distillates aged in both new and refilled barrels. The real character, however, was given by the use of grain roasted to a darker color than ever before, which was added to the grist in the right proportion. Sweet Peat It consists of the base single malt from Caol Ila distillery, maturing sherry from Glendullan and Johnnie Walker Black Label.
