Herendi Apponyi Green pattern - hand painted - Exclusive dinner service - 9-piece tableware. Its exclusive appearance is luxurious on any festive table. - All pieces are hand-painted porcelain! - This very rare elegant oval deep dish has tendril lugs on both sides, rim with gold rim, many green flowers inside, hand painted decoration depicting the famous Appony decoration. Each has an intaglio Herend and blue stamp on the bottom. 1960s-1980s. On the occasion of the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867, at the reception organized in honor of József Ferenc, the tables of the Elysée Palace were set with Apponyi-patterned Herendi sets. The sample made at the request of Count Albert Apponyi was made by enlarging a detail of the Indian flower basket (fleurs des indes). The clean and restrained pattern created in this way was painted green (AV) by the masters of Herend. NO chips, NO cracks, NO repairs, please see pictures as they are part of the description. This very rare elegant oval deep dish has tendril lugs on both sides, rim with gold rim, many green flowers inside, hand painted decoration depicting the famous Appony decoration.
