Beautiful Tanagra female figure shown in contrapposto position, dressed with chiton and himation,with her arms under the mantle; the right one slightly bent. The woman is depicted with the hair pulled back and tied in a bun. With vegetal crown on her forehead.  Finely detailed facial features. |Greece. 3rd Century BC. The purpose of Tanagra figurines was the funerary use, especially after incineration will give way to the custom of burial from 5th Century BC. In the tombs of Boeotia, two or three meters deep, draped and naked women figures of terracotta like this one were found. Dimensions: 15,50cm. Condition: Earthy adhessions on the surface. Small material losses on the lower part, otherwise fine condition. Provenance: Acquired to a Spanish Antiquarian - Barcelone, Spain in 2015. Before belgian private collection. This process can take between 2 and 4 weeks. - If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will be requested by us, This process can take beteen 1 and 2 months. According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the buyer's expense. These export fees are fixed on the final auction price and the tax rate is not applied directly on the total value of the item to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are applied to it: - Up to 6,000 euros: 5%./ From 6.001 to 60.000 euros: 10%. - Shipped with Insurance.
