A fine porcelain dinner plate, circa 1790, measuring circa 22.3cm in diameter and weighing 518g, delicately decorated in polychrome enamels with "Barbotine" décor, said to have been designed by Marie Antoinette herself. The decoration features scattered blue and maroon cornflowers within a wide rim of intertwined garlands between bands of gold. Marked to the underside with crossed arrows manufacturer´s mark of Locré et Russinger in underglaze blue. Condition: Overall very good, thin chip of 9mm to the rim, no other damages or repairs.
