Up for auction is a nice grouping to a US soldier that fought in Italy; it includes his Red Cros issue US-Italian language guide and phrase book which dates from around 1943 according to the archives, a periodic report aobut the allied commission in Italy, detailing the politics, regional districts, the italian army and more, from 1945, and two photo's, one taken on the French-UK channel. The Allied (Control) Commission was an integrated British-American body set up in September 1943 under the Supreme Allied Commander to enforce the Italian Armistice and to act as the body through which the allied powers conducted business with the Italian government. They are in good condition for their age, but the allied commission report has significant wear on the spine, see photo's.
