Tasting of Ducru-Beaucaillou 2002 by Robert PARKER :
"It is good to see this wine reveal itself much better in bottle than it did in barrel, where it presented a certain
leanness and a certain herbaceousness.
The elegant nose of red and black currants, cedar wood and spice box still reveals dried herbs The wine has an
intense ruby/purple color, excellent density and medium body in an elegant style with a hint of tar and sweet fruit."

About the domain
Born at the end of the 17th century, the estate quickly demonstrated its ability to produce great wines.
Today, the château is still masterfully managed by the Borie family, who work to maintain the exceptional quality of production. The considerable presence of gravel – or pebbles – in the soil of the vineyard, the origin of the name of the cru, is far from unrelated to the quality of the wine. Perfectly balanced, this reveals a beautiful aromatic bouquet.
Like any Bordeaux Grand Cru Classé, Château Ducru Beaucaillou attracts the constant interest of lovers of fine wines, particularly amateurs and investors: a sure value in almost all old vintages.
