A very fine antique 7/8 violin, labeled Carlo Antonio Testore figlio maggiore del fu Carlo Giuseppe in Contrada larga al fegno dell'Aquila Milano 1730. The instrument is in ready to play condition with professionally repaired crack under chin rest. The violin has an excellent high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of amazing flamed maple with matched sides. The whole length of the violin is 570 mm and the back 346 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 159 mm; middle bouts: 106 mm; lower bouts: 196 mm. The sound is very good, suitable for soloist. Shipping worldwide
