Avraham-Itska Yelyovich Varshavsky (1912 - 2000) was a Soviet artist known for his traditional realistic approach to art. He studied at the art-working faculty of the Kharkov Art Institute from 1932 to 1934. Varshavsky specialized in historical canvases that portrayed the revolutionary ideals. He became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine in 1972 and exhibited his works in both republican and all-Union exhibitions since 1955. Some of his notable works include "Potomkinets P. Olkhovsky" (1955), "Krasnodontsev" (1962, 1965), "Lunch Break" (1963), "Girls" (1965), "People's Actor of the Ukrainian SSR S. Shkurat", "Year 1918" (1967), "Winter" (1970), "People's Talents" (1971), "P. Postyshev among the peasants "(1972)," Commander I. Fedko "(1978)," G. Barley "(1982). His works are preserved in various museums including the Romny Museum of Local Lore, Sumy Art Museum, Donetsk Art Museum, Kharkiv Art Museum, and the Museum "Young Guard" in Krasnodon, Lugansk region.
