Kabuto (1) - Japan - 1700-1750 Mid Edo period
This nice black with brown leather lacing kabuto is made during the Edo Period. they are also known as a Cochin Kabuto.
A "Chochin" is a collapsible Japanese lantern, this kabuto gets its name from this type of lanterns. the kabuto will completely fold up when the lock on the overhead bracket is released .
Condition:
There are: stains, scratches, discoloration, peelings of lacquer.
This kabuto is an antique piece and its age shows
NOTE: The helmet stand is not included
