Two antique vaginal irrigators, 'Veritable Irrigateur Système du Docteur Eguisier'. One is made of ceramic and tin, the other of brass and tin. France, late 19th century. 23 and 23.5 cm in height.
These were invented by Dr. Maurice Eguisier (1813-1851), a gynaecologist and obstetrician who discovered pregnancy detection via urine-analysis.
In good condition, the brass and tin irrigator has an old soldered repair. The pictures are part of the description. This lot will be sent via registered mail on the weekend.
