A Chinese so-called 'Amsterdams Bont' (or 'clobbered') decorated bowl or slop-basin, Qianlong (1736-1795), ca 1740-1750, ca 7.8 cm. high and 16.6 cm. Ø.
Painted to the centre with so-called 'Hanakago' theme (wide basket with flowers and insects) in overglaze green, iron red and gold, the rim with garlands in overglaze iron red, the outer wall with stylized leaf patterns and oval cartouches with alternating flower baskets with insects and Dutch river landscapes with houses, wall cracks, old restoration and repaired (image #12).
