Rare Vintage Flow Blue Plate Fisherman Wareham / Edward J.jones, Onset Ma Store 1930' The central design is a portrait of a Cape Cod Fisherman, thee are Four other scenes depicting areas of interest in Onset Mass. The Three Islands, The ship Rose Standish entering Buzzards Bay, The Highway Bridge, and Onset Harbor. Onset is a Historic Waterfront community in the Town of Wareham Mass. Built in the 1800's as a Resort on the shores of Buzzards Bay. Today, most of the original Storefronts & Cottages remain with its Victorian Charm. This Plate is around 1930. The back states it was made in England for Edward J.Jones, Onset Mass. Mr. Jones had a General Store, along the Main St, selling gifts and novelty items as well as home goods. It remained a store for many years thru other ownerships until the 1980's. The original building still stands, and is now a private home.
