Career Master Sergeant Mentyukov, (4): Order of the Red Staer nr. 1.292.484 nr. confirmed in record card, Order of the 5th Independant Guards Tank Brigade of April 4 , 1945 (4th Ukrainian Front), and two medals for combat merit and a medal for the victory over Germany. The medals unnumebered as indicated on the record card. The first Medal of Merit was awarded in 1943 by Order of the 57th Tank Regiment. The second medal for merit is probably for 10 years of service. The Red Banner was granted for "superbly mastering the working process" and working long hours under unhealty circumstances. "Metyukov is one of the specialist in his field. He is always loaded with work and works 14-16 hours each day, but always carries out his tasks on schedule regardless." The recommendation was originally for a medal of courage but was upgraded by the higher levels. The lot is including copies from the archives of the recommendation for the Red Star and the record card of Metyukov, with a translation in English.
