[England - King Edward IV - era] - Grant by Thomas Skynner and Thomas Thornekyn - 1480

Very Scarce King Edward IV Grant dated June 1st 1480 in the 20th year of his reign on vellum and written in Latin with the original two wax seals still attached. It relates to a grant by Thomas Skynner and Thomas Thornekyn, Chaplain to francis Calibut and Clement and Richard Gent of one acre in Kempston near Kyrkeland and Gosford meadow 1480. A note calls it 'Flybern Acre' - fillarn means very rich land. The indenture of course has been folded, some brown spotting not affecting the text, remarkable condition for a document so old and even more remarkable with the wax seals still attached.
