Antique relic from the half 19th century containing a fragment of the Cross of Christ. Relics containing fragments of wood from the cross of Jesus are objects of great religious significance for many Christian believers. The important relic is contained in a small case, in chiseled and silvered brass, decorated internally with paperoles, in which the center contains a cross-shaped space which houses the wood of the cross. The wooden fragment is protected by a thin blown glass partially damaged in the lower part. This wood is considered a relic of the cross on which Jesus was crucified. On the back, a wax seal with the coat of arms of the religious institution of the period certifying the authenticity of the relic. This relic is venerated by the faithful as a tangible symbol of the presence and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
