When Ciry is 15 years old, his father notices his artistic talents. He sends it to L'École supérieure des arts appliqués Duperré in Paris. Ciry refines himself in various arts, including painting, etching, engraving and drawing, as well as music composition and literary expression in the form of published diaries. Catholic stories, images and characters prove to be a source of inspiration for Ciry. Ciry became known for his visual works of art, but his published diaries and pieces of music were also not without success. In 1953, for example, he was a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition for composition because of the innovative nature of his music. Ciry was also several times a candidate to join the prestigious Académie française and was a member of the Académie royale de Belgique. Ciry received several awards. He eventually died on December 26, 2018 in Varengeville-sur-Mer, Normandy. #dumaycollection
