The instrument is in ready to play condition with tears, wears, no visible cracks, grafted scroll, new ebony fingerboard, new ebony set up, new Despiau bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of interesting softly flamed maple with matched ribs and scroll. Rich golden color varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm and the back 357 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 165 mm; middle bouts: 113 mm; lower bouts: 204 mm. Full size. The sound is very deep, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist.
