Extravagant decorative plate by VERLYS in model « Les Disques », Large decorative plate, collector and in extraordinary condition(some micro missing on border of the base). Signed. VERLYS - "Verrerie d'Andelys", designates the artistic production of this glassworks established in Andelys, in the department of Eure, and belonging to the Holophane company. The latter, which first carried out its activity in the United States, was born from the exploitation of the work of the French physicist André Blondel (1863-1938). Its artistic glassmaking has began around 1925. The industrial series production of artistic pieces in pressed glass, the diffusion of which is only exceeded by that of glassworks produced by Lalique, began around 1933 while that in glass ceased almost simultaneously. The fabrication had lasted in 1955. Dimensions: weight — 1530 g height — 5,3 cm top Ø — 37,8 cm base Ø — 11,5 cm All the items are shipped by registered post.
