Up for auction is the rare and amazing United States Service Symbols. by Smith, Cleveland H. and Gertrude R. Taylor (1942) Patches, Badges, Insignia Guide!!! This is the highly sought after original issue, not a reprint. Color images of an incredible amount of Army, Navy, Army Air Corps, Marine and Coast Guard divisional patches, insignia, devices, badges and ranks AND MEDALS for all units that took part in World War II! Simply put, this is one of the best, single source identification guide to collecting United States WW2 INSIGNIA and medals! E.g., Airborne, Navy, Infantry, Ranger, US Bomber, etc etc etc. This is a nice hard cover edition in good condition for its age - however, NOTE: on THREE PAGES something was cut out, for unknown reasons. This doesnt really affect the display of the book or the content, because at these places there were no illustrations.
