標準紋帖 / Standard Crest - Paper - Japanese Vintage 家紋 Samurai Kamon Book - Japan - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

This is a "kamoncho," a collection of family crests known as "kamon." The term "kamon" literally translates to "family crest" and represents the "lineage" or "family heritage" as a symbolic emblem shared among relatives, including family and extended kin. In the Heian period, nobles and aristocrats began attaching their preferred patterns to ox carts, revealing ownership of possessions in place of their names, marking the origin of "kamon." Family crests can depict various elements, ranging from natural motifs like clouds, waves, and flowers to designs inspired by fans, tortoiseshells (kikkou), and stylized characters. It is estimated that there are currently around 5,000 different types of family crests. The family crests of representative Japanese companies are also featured. *There is a slight chip on the paper of the title in the top left corner of the cover, and as shown in the 12th photo, there are some stains. *The condition is good, but please refer to the photos for any signs of use or wear. NOTICE The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by DHL or FedEx depend on the situation. We will ship it within 10 days, so it will take approximately 3 weeks for it to reach you. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes Customes or delivery company in your country contact you for Customs clearance via phone or email. Please make sure that you could answer the phone. If you don't, the parcel will return to me and it cost more double shipping fee for reshipping. I appreciate your cooperation.
