2016 Sant’Andrea Pietradolce - Sicily - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

We are proposing for sale a magnum bottle (1.5lt) of Sant’Andrea Pietradolce 2016 still in its original packaging. It’s a bottle for collectors unfoundable right now! Bottle obsessively preserved in the cellar. Collectors' bottle. Optimal bottle level, intact label, perfect capsule! Sant'Andrea is a wine that represents the exaltation of Carricante from an ancient vineyard. Its very limited production is the result of a selection of pre-phylloxera vines, some of which have reached the age of 150 years. These vines are grown in the Milo vineyard, in the Contrada Caselle at 850 meters above sea level, on deep sandy soils. The direct exposure to the sea and the influence of the Valle del Bove characterize the microclimate of this vineyard, creating a perfect area for Carricante. The vinification is particular: after a long maceration on the skins in a 2000 liter oak barrel, the wine rests in the bottle for two and a half years before release. The result is a wine that offers a broad olfactory range, with varietal references and sensations of Mediterranean scrub. The sip is tense, silky and layered. Wine with long evolutionary potential.
