Valentin was studying Economics at Saarland University at the time. But he was already set on his path to wine. After graduation, he began his professional career by working with regional restaurants, sourcing wine and building a wide network of wine sellers across Europe. In 2020, Valentin discovered Catawiki where he started auctioning rare bottles as a professional seller. With a deepened appreciation for the online marketplace he joined as an expert three years later.
