Vase - Porcelain - Japan (No Reserve Price)

Remarkable porcelain Vase with Scattered Plum Blossoms in Tenmoku Glaze and designed in a special shape , made by Fujii Shumei 藤井朱明 (1936-2017). This porcelain vase, with its grand stature of approximately 30cm, is a stellar representation of Fujii Shumei's genius, a master porcelain artist from Arita, Saga, renowned for a tradition steeped in the finest Japanese porcelain craftsmanship. Fujii Shumei's work is lauded for its intricate ability to weave the essence of nature into his designs, making each piece a narrative of the natural world's tranquil beauty. The Tenmoku Ume Chirashi (Scattered Plum Blossoms in Tenmoku Glaze) design showcased on this vase is particularly breathtaking, combining the deep, rich tones of the Tenmoku glaze with the delicate, fleeting beauty of plum blossoms. This contrast not only highlights the artistic dexterity required to balance such elements but also symbolizes the transient beauty of nature, capturing a moment of serene elegance that is both ephemeral and eternal. The vase's significant size further enhances its presence, making it not just an object of art but a focal point of any collection. With the artist's signature authentically marking its base, this piece stands as a testament to its genuine craftsmanship and the artistic legacy of Fujii Shumei. It embodies the values of Arita porcelain art: meticulous attention to detail, a deep appreciation for the natural world, and the pursuit of beauty in form and function.
