Here we have an anbso beautiful early 19th Century oil on canvas from the Listed British artist Paul Falconer Poole British, 1807-1879. The artwork is titled “Secret in her ear”. This painting features a young couple outside a farmstead whispering, there is a good depth of colour throughout. The artist exhibited at the Royal Academy from the age of 25 and gained a high position among British artists. His works are held in the Tate, Victoria and Albert, National Portrait Gallery, Hamburg and a number of other British museums. Note that the stencil verso is from Christie’s and the chalk marks are the date it was sold 8/8/74. A magnificent painting which would grace any wall in your home. In good condition.
