Japanese WWII wounded siver badge in gold version Sen Sho (Shoigunjinsho) with original wooden special large box with gold Lettering(large version) Badge made of strling silver and red enamel and goldplated. It was issued from 1938 and was awarded to soldiers who were wounded at the front and had shown their courage. The image in the 32 mm medallion is none other than the famous Samurai Kusunoke Masashige. This samurai was a legend and died on the battlefield in the 13th century and lived according to the bushido code. A wonderful honorary medal for proven bravery on the battlefield On the back of the insignia you can see the spearheads the have kanji characters translated it says (Military wounded insignia). Two more characters are embossed under the pin-back device, "Sen-sho" - awarding the badge for wounds sustained in batt 100% original and very good condition.
