Xie Yang was born in Beijing in 1935. He is currently a member of the Beijing Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Collectors Association, a director of the International Federation of Fine Arts Art Market Committee, and an honorary academician of the Singapore New China Art Academy. He won the International Gold Medal at the Chinese Art Exhibition in 1998 and 1999, and held a solo exhibition in Japan in 1995. In 2003, a solo exhibition was held at the Zizhen International Art Center Gallery in Taipei City, and "Xie Ki's Landscape Painting Collection" was published. His works and resume were included in "Who's Who of World Artists". Many of his masterpieces of calligraphy and painting have been published in provincial, municipal and national publications.
