The 1998s are among the youngest Caronis bottled by Luca, but certainly not the least complex. They are also the latest products to be 100% made from local molasses, derived from the last sugar canes grown in Trinidad. In fact, cultivation had totally disappeared after the bankruptcy of the Caroni Sugar Refinery and the distillery in 2003. Tropical aging brought it to an angel share of 70%.
