Roald Dahl - RARE: 1st edition, 1st impression (paperback): Danny Champion of the World - 1975

Up for auction: Your chance to own a RARE first edition/first impression (in paperback form), of the Roald Dahl classic, Danny Champion if the World. This is the rare first printing of the Puffin paperback - which printed the book with the exact same cover art and internal illustrations as the Jonathan Cape hardback of the same year. This iconic cover will be remembered by millions as the one they read at school, and this particular title was one of the most densely illustrated of all his books in beautiful, almost woodcut-like pen drawings. The book is in lovely condition, with no loose pages or any marks or internal blemishes (normally young children wrote their name in it). Binding is tight, and there is no real sign of anything but light reading. There are no bent corners or anything like that. The spine is un-cracked, the pages inside are clean. An unusually good condition book - especially given children typically mistreated it! This paperback was reprinted many, many times, but this is the rare and much coveted first print. Thanks for looking, happy bidding.
