A beautiful fully original rosewood writing slope. A decorative example with strong brass bounding around the edging and brass stringing around the piece. The brass carries through to the escutcheon plate and the centre plate with the date 1861. It also comprises of two flush brass handles to each side. The interior showcases the writing slope section with black leather and two ink wells. A secret drawer compartment is reveals by pulling up a division wall.
