1999 Familia Martinez Bujanda, 'Conde de Valdemar' - Rioja Crianza - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

Conde de Valdemar Crianza 1999 (6 bottles) Bodegas Martinez Bujanda (Oyon, Rioja Alavesa). Five wineries make up the Martínez-Bujanda Family, of which Viña Bujanda is one of them. D.O.C.a: RIOJA "Conde de Valdemar Crianza is a red wine made by Valdemar with the Tempranillo and Graciano varieties, all of them from their own vineyards spread across different areas covered by the D.O.Ca. Rioja. In 1889 the first generation of Conde de Valdemar was already cultivating their own vineyards in Oyón (Rioja Alta), the family's hometown. It was in the 80s, when Jesús Martínez Bujanda, the 4th generation, decided to found Bodegas Valdemar to produce unique wines with a classic style such as the first barrel-fermented white or the first single-varietal Maturana or Tempranillo Blanco wines. Currently, with the incorporation of the 5th generation, it has landed in the United States, becoming the first non-American winery to be established in Wall Walla (Washington). Faithful to the philosophy of making wines exclusively from their own vineyards, Conde de Valdemar Crianza comes from vineyards spread across the three subzones of the Rioja Designation of Origin. Specifically, from the vineyard populations distributed in the towns of Oyón, Logroño and Ausejo. Traditional agriculture is practiced and the harvest is carried out at the optimal moment of ripeness. Once in the winery, the Conde de Valdemar Crianza grapes are carefully vinified. To do this, the bunches ferment in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. This red wine is then allowed to rest in the storage area for 15 months in American oak barrels. Conde de Valdemar Crianza is a 100% Rioja red wine that manages to combine the fruity notes of the grape with the aging in the barrel in a balanced way. A modern classic."
