Released in 2013, Sigurd is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on whisky’s flavour. Named after a legendary hero of Norse mythology, who was given fragments of a broken sword by his dying father. Sigurd is made from a rather high proportion of European oak casks, imparting plenty of red and dried fruits, roasted nuts, heather honey, and, of course, the classic, trademark Highland Park peat smoke. A whisky mirroring the intensity and precision of its namesake, mighty warrior, Sigurd. Bottle and wooden box are in perfect condition, excellent fill-level.
