C (Cees) Keeman (visual artist) was born on February 2 1938 in Velsen-Noord (Gemeente Velsen) and died on October 2 1997 in Beverwijk (Gemeente Beverwijk). Cees preferably painted seas without anything else. No ships, no birds, nothing. Only water. And if there had to be a ship on it, then it had to be a ship in need. Oil on canvas size 100 x 80 cm. Signed. Work is in good condition and very beautiful frame with ship rigging. The work comes from 1979, just before he moved to Beverwijk (1980). Cees Keeman spent his days at the North Sea, where this painting was made. Since then the painting hung at a fisherman's house in Heerhugowaard. Registered/insured shipment, carefully packed.
