Vintage Hughes LED Calculator watch 1970s - Working - Battlestar Galactica The ground-breaking Hughes calculator watch was released in 1978 and was considered so ahead of its time that it was used as a prop in the sci-fi classic Battlestar Galactica. The watch offered here is very similar to the ones used in the series and employs the same electronics. This version is the unsigned variant that was made available to Hughes Corporation employees in limited numbers. This is a rare watch from an era of rapid technical development that led to smaller, low-powered LCD devices and hence very few LED calculator watches were made. The watch is of stainless/chrome finish comes on its original (unsigned) bracelet which on its own would fit up to a 7” wrist. I have added an extender to fit up to a 7.5” wrist.
