Gorgeous and highly collectable Sheaffer Imperial Gold Plated ballpoint + fountain pen (Model 797). The fountain pen is fitted with a 14 carat solid gold nib in a Fine point. The Imperial #797 was introduced in 1976. By 1980 this model was fitted with the short arrowhead nib that also was used on the Triumph models. The pen for auction still has the longer version of the aroowhead nib, so was made between 1976 and 1980. The pens are new old stock and in near mint condition with some marginal signs of storage wear. The clip of the fountain pen shows a small spot of brassing (indicated in the photo's with an arrow). The ballpoint may need a new refill due to age. Come in the original Sheaffer box and will be shipped by registered mail.
