Chronographe Suisse 18 kt rose gold 37.5 mm – men's watch – 1950-1959

Chronographe Suisse (Ancre 17 rubis), men's wristwatch, vintage bicompax chronograph from the late 1950s. Case in excellent condition, in 18 kt rose gold, 37.5 mm in diameter (excluding crown). Double case back, external lid in 18 kt gold with serial number: 203 0 42, metal internal protective plate (anti-magnetic, acting as a Faraday cage). Dial in very good condition. The tachymetric scale, hands and bar markers can be clearly read. Chronograph counters at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, Plexiglas crystal in very good condition. Pillar wheel movement, calibre Valjoux 92, Swiss-made. Hand-wound mechanism with 17 jewels,18,000 bph, in perfect working order, including the chronograph function, which starts and resets correctly. Generic leather strap, generic gold-plated buckle, lug width: 20 mm, total length: 235 mm (including case). Total watch weight (including strap and buckle): 45 g. Includes 'Janvier' root wood box. No papers. Tracked and insured shipping via international courier. NB: I would like to point out that mechanical watches cannot be as precise as quartz watches. This is the essential difference between the charm of Swiss manufacture and the mass production of quartz watches. Daily deviation (in seconds) can be completely normal, especially if the watch is quite old, as it can react to the difference in temperatures arising from exercise, vibrations, jolts, accidental impact, etc. This does not mean that it is not working properly.
