A rare and beautiful French telephone made by Société Industrielle des Téléphones around 1910. It is actually a design by a company called Marty, and made under licence by SIT. It is fully restored and in excellent condition and completely original, even down to original cords. It is made of wood, with nickel plated brass. The earcap and handgrip are made of bakelite. Like many French telephones it has a an extra receiver, also known as a mother in law receiver. It is of the bull ring type, because of the large ring at the back, which is actually the magnet for the speaker. It is a magneto telephone and not compatible with the modern telephone network. It is 24 cm high and 2 cm wide (handset) and weighs 4,325 kg. World wide shipping is no problem.
