Material: earthenware/stoneware - salt glaze Technique - twisted. Dating/from around 1600. Provenance - Germany/Frechen. Artefact Liège region. Dimensions: height: 230 mm - diameter of the opening: 38 mm, maximum diameter: 175 mm + the ear falls within the largest diameter. Condition - the Bartmann jug has been found complete in large parts, it has been glued and seams/fault lines skilfully removed. Provenance: The seller guarantees that the jug was acquired in a legal manner. It comes from an old Dutch private collection. Important information: For transport within the European Union no export permit is needed. Because of the importance of this piece an export permit must be requested when shipped outside the European Union. This goes via the heritage inspection of the Ministry of education, culture and science. This can be done only after the sale and may take some time.
