Lot with eleven fat lava objects by Strehla (VEB Steingutfabrik Strehla). VEB stands for 'Volkseigener Betrieb', a firm that was publicly owned in the former DDR (1949-1990). The company closed in 1989. Eight vases, two flower pots and one ashtray. The items have a unique decoration in fat lava glaze, typical of the ceramic of Strehla. The largest vase has a height of 21 cm. Very special is the square vase, both in shape and decoration. A height of 15 cm. Square 6 x 6 cm. All items are marked on the bottom ‘Strehla Keramik made in GDR’. All objects are in intact condition.
