High official sword - E&F Horster Solingen - Germany
A scarce high official's sword with gilded bronze hilt and mother of pearl grips. The guard is very decorative and has place for a monogram. The blade is edged with floral motives in high quality. The makers mark is F&E Horster Solingen, a very important swordmaker in the 20th century for Imperial and later 3th Reich. The pommel has a hidden screw so the sword can be taken apart completely. The bronze hilt is marked above the blade with the letter H from Horster. One of the mother of pearl grips has a very small crack and both have signs of ware. Further absolute fine condition. High quality sword. Comes without scabbard.
