Fernand Chapelain was a successor to the famous Godfroy l'Aîné in Paris (La Couture). He made flutes from 1890 to 1917. As such this flute has value as a collectible Given the condition of the instrument I will therefore not set a reserve price. It can still be made playable through thorough restoration (including completely new re-padding and getting rid of a few dents). All keys are present and therefore the flute is mechanically complete. Cabart was a successor to Thibouville and made flutes in Paris from 1869 onward. The brand continued to exist until 1950. This flute has a si-foot and was therefore probably from a (semi-) professional flutist. It is also in a poor condition, but can serve as a collectible.
