Tichelaar Makkum - Large peacock plate
A large plate with the crossed ‘Ts’ of the Tichelaar Makkum brothers.
This is after the so-called peacock motif on Delft earthenware of the 18th century. Depicted are a flower vase with sunflowers, ferns and grain ears, six stylised butterfly figurines on the edge with flower and curly motifs between them. The plate has brown-yellow edge.
It has a diameter of 32 cm. In good condition, only a minor stilt mark and a edge flake on the brown-yellow edge. Please see photos.
