It will be shipped with extreme care and insurance. Fausto Battelli (Rome, 1934 – Rome, 11 February 2018) was an Italian painter and photojournalist. After his academic studies, Battelli experienced artistic techniques such as lithography, ceramics and photography. Later, between the 50s and 60s, he started his photojournalism career, capturing famous characters of cinema and of the Rome of that time: Sofia Loren, Anna Magnani, Marisa Allasio among many other. After those years, his efforts focused on painting: he studied in Via Margutta, where he became especially known for his painted bas-reliefs. From the 70s onwards, he held solo and groups exhibitions in across Europe, America and Australia. His artworks are in private collections, public collections, museums and galleries in Italy and abroad.
