Beautiful watercolour of flowers in a vase or pot with probably scabiosa flowers and poppies or poppy in the bulb with other flowers that are unknown to me. Jan Voerman better known as the IJssel painter, in his early period, water coloured mainly! Around 1902 he switched to oil paintings mainly on and around the IJssel in the Zwolle-Hattem-Kampen area. He was a son of a farmer. He recognized his talent at an early age and was taught in 1876 at the Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam. This small but very beautiful watercolour is framed in a frame with museum glass in front of it The painting is ready to be hung on the wall!
