Symbolic votive wheel / ring money
The wheel, or more precisely, the cart wheel, was an important symbol in historical Celtic polytheism, apparently associated with a particular god, known as the wheel-god, identified like the heaven- sun- or thunder-god, whose name is attested to be Taranis of Lucan.
Numerous Celtic coins depict the same type of wheel. It is suspected that a sun cult depicted the sun as a wheel during the Bronze age in Europe.
