Offered is a multicoloured 'Nieuw Delfts' or 'Iznik' vase with a Persian decor made by De Porceleyne Fles, Delft, ca. 1910/1920.
This vase might possibly be designed by Leon Senf.
It has a height of 22.5 cm.
It has a 15 cm belly diameter.
It is without flaws.
This production line was developed by De Porceleyne Fles in Delft at the start of the 20th century. The reference to the decoration of this ‘Nieuw Delfts’ vase is ‘Old Persian’. The inspiration for this piece is from Iznik, Turkey. These pieces were made between 1910 and 1930. ‘New Persian’ was also developed in this time frame. Senf used other ‘Eastern’ earthenware as a source of inspiration.
