Since his childhood he has become familiar with painting, thanks to his older brother Jan Hovener; a very able painter since the sixties. He takes painting lessons and also makes many study trips with his brother throughout Europe. Peter also developing himself by working with painters such as Lodewijk Bruckman, Frans van der Heide, Hennie de Korte and Rein Sievers to spend time and work together. South of France and Portugal, the countries that have had a huge influence on his paintings and colour palette. He knows how to bring colours and light into his canvases in a very convincing and passionate way. Exhibitions including Goes, Antwerp, Munich, New York.
