This shell comes from the collection of professor Nérée Boubée, his Parisian workshop "Le comptoir central d’histoire naturelle" used to naturalise turtles
for the cabinets of curiosities of the era, the skeleton was mounted inside
see the photo attached to the certificate, to do this, brass fasteners were mounted in the shell (photos). After his death in 1862, his collection was distributed to residents of the town of Bagnères de Luçon, including this one.
