Beautiful work by the Dutch painter Antonie Waldorp in good condition (see photos). Antonie Waldorp took lessons at the academy in The Hague. In 1834 he visited France, Germany and Belgium together with Wijnand Nuyen. The painter worked in The Hague and from 1857 in Amsterdam. Among others he taught Jan Weissenbruch. Waldorp started painting stage decorations, but after a while he concentrated on interiors and portraits. After that he made a name for himself by painting river-, cityscapes and landscapes, sometimes with people in seventeenth-century clothing. Worldwide shipping.
