A historic and extremely rare Reverso 201, first year of production 1931. Tavannes 064 movement. We all know the story of this watch. In good working order with visible signs of wear/ageing but considering it's age, 88 years old it has been well preserved. This watch is the exact one after witch JLC made the Tribute in 2011. Comes with Extract from the Archives issued by Jaeger-LeCoultre on 04/2019 This watch is in unrestored condition, appears to have never been polished and all parts look original 1931. The watch is in working order but due to the age and the last known service dated 2013 the new owner should consider a new service witch is highly recommended for vintage watches. The Case The iconic Art Deco revesible design. Stainless Steel Serial: 7061 Size: 22 x 38 x 8 mm Lug width: 17 mm Inscribed PATENT only. Inside reversible case is inscribed: BREVETE S.G.D.G. BREV.DEP.UIV.PAYS PATENTS APPL. FOR 7061 - all case serials match. The reversible case back is inscribed with the name G.M.Bratt The Mechanism Tavannes - Lisica S.A. Calibre 064 Serial: 227856 17 jewels - Unadjusted All parts appear to be original. Last known service: 2013 - scratched under the main case serial. When winded 15 times the mechanism runs for more than 14 hours gaining around 10 seconds per 12 hours. The Dial Signed "REVERSO" only and "SWISS" at the bottom. Black lacquered and lumed dial. Baton hour markers. Sword hours and minutes hands also lumed. Shows visible signs of ageing/degradation. Strap and Buckle New Hirsch lizard skin black strap and stainless steel buckle.
